Spring OR Winter

Here I thought we were going into Spring but to me it feels like Winter.

Yesterday and today I was standing outside with my girls waiting for the school bus and I was freezing and not only was it super cold it had snowed and was snowing this morning. I guess I am completely confused at what Mother Nature is thinking.

I want it to be warm outside so I can open my windows and doors and smell the fresh air, I want to be able to go outside in my Flip Flops and not rain boots. I want to be able to open my sunroof in my car. I want it to be SUMMER not Spring anymore.

The Money Answer Book by Dave Ramsey *Review*

This book is an Question and Answer type book about your finances.  This book is filled with over 100 questions-everything from budget planning to retirement planning or personal buying matters, to saving for college and charitable giving.  This book talks about taking "Baby Steps" to reach a financial well being so to speak. Baby Step #1 $1,000 in an emergency fund, this is our first step we need to accomplish. It also talks about how to teach your kids some money smarts which was really good information and it all makes since.This would be a great book for a graduation present. 

I would recommend this book to everyone, before they start college or even if you are ready to retire this book will help you.  When I received this book I was worried it would be a very boring read but it was quite interesting and I actually learned some things. Some of his strategies I will be starting soon. See in my family I am the one that likes to spend money and my husband hates it, so if I can start doing say the "Envelope" idea I think that maybe my husband wouldn't be so upset when I spent money and we are actually going to start the "Baby Steps" program as well.

Frustrated

So I am just going to speak my mind today. I am really upset. I participated in a blogger gift exchange and sent a very nice gift to my person days before the deadline for the gift to be sent out and I still have not received anything in return.

I know this might sound greedy or something to some of you but I don't believe so I believe that if you say you are going to participate in something like that then you need to follow the guidelines and send your gift. I just had to speak my mind about this today because it just really FRUSTRATES me.  It is 17 days after the deadline and still nothing has arrived.

What do you think? Do I have a right to be frustrated about this or am I just being ridiculous? Give me your opinions please.

Meal Plan

Ok here is my meal plan for the week. I make a menu for 2 weeks and then I let my kids pick what days we are going to have what. They love being able to pick what they want instead of me always deciding.

Monday- Chili

Tuesday- Cube Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Corn

Wednesday- Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, Salad

Thursday- Mac & Cheese, Hamburger Patties with Mushroom Sauce, Green Beans

Friday- Breakfast

'The Princess and the Pea' Play

So today they are holding auditions for The Princess and the Pea Play at my kids school and of course they are going to be auditioning.

It's by the Missoula Children's Theatre. They are going to be casting about 60 students grade K-12, so hopefully they both get parts. The play requires a pretty grueling schedule, starting today they have to be there for 2 hours and then if they do get a part there is practice every day this week which could be up to 41/2 hours long.

The performance will be held Saturday May 1st @3 and @7 so if they do get parts they will have to perform twice as well. It is going to be so exciting.

So a little about the Missoula Children's Theatre- The Missoula Children's Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana. This year they will cast a total of 65,000 cast members across the GLOBE. Its such a great opportunity for kids around the world.

Accomplished

Today I feel so accomplished and I really haven't done that much. I got the house cleaned and mopped, carpets shampooed and dinner on the stove to simmer the rest of the day. Just getting these few things done I feel so great. Now I am off to try and go through more boxes and fill up some boxes for a garage sale later this year.  

For those of you that are new to following my blog we just moved to Idaho in February and yes I am still trying to go through boxes I feel like we just don't need anything else in our house and this house is so much bigger than the one we moved from. Where am I supposed to put it all?  AHHHHHHH

Family Night

Tonight is Family Night in our house we either watch a movie together or play games. So tonight we are going to play some games.  First is a High School Musical game my sister in law bought (not sure how easy it is but we are going to try).

I was selected to participate in the Bicycle House Party. So this week I will be getting a package that includes a ton of cards and other stuff so tonight we are also going to play some cards to practice for our actual party night on the 8th of May.

We are going to play War, Crazy Eights and Slap Jack.

Then the adults here we are going to learn how to play Canasta and Euchre.
I personally have never heard of Euchre but it should be fun always up for new games.

Workout

Yesterday I started working out with my sister in law and boy today I feel so sore.

We did the Biggest Loser Wii game.

Each workout was about 26 minutes and that included the warm-up and cool-down. It felt so good though and it seemed to give me more energy through out the day, can't wait to do it again today.Hopefully, having my sister in law working out with me I will stay more motivated. Now to eat healthy too.

What a Weekend

I had such a great weekend I thought I would share it with everyone.

First on Saturday I got to go to Spokane with my sister in law. I have never really been there before besides just driving through and I must say I wasn't really impressed I don't like cities that are confusing to drive through, it reminded me of driving through Portland just not fun at all. Anyways, we went to this restaurant neither one of us had ever heard of called The Onion.The food was really good but the ranch not so much. I am not a fan of onions in the first place and their ranch tasted like onions it was a big disappointment to not use ranch with my food. I know silly.Then we did some shopping which is always great.

Sunday we just had a nice relaxing day at home. Got the house all cleaned, the recycling taken care of. Made some ice tea and enjoyed the rest of the day sitting out in the sun reading a good book, playing with my baby girl and watching the other girls play in the sprinkler. I hope there are more weekends like this one in the future.

Sunny Weather

So I know there are many reasons to love this sunny weather we have been having here in Idaho, but I have one reason that tops all others.

I GET TO MOW MY LAWN

Yes I know that may sound crazy to most of you but I love it we have 8 acres not sure how many we mow (by a push mower by the way) but I would do it every day if I could. So to the reason why I love it so much

MY QUIET TIME


Yes I use it as an escape from my kids for just an hour, they don't get to bug me they have to bug their dad if they need something. No MOMMMY MOMMMY MOMMMM all I can hear is the mower boy do I love that sound haha. I know its not very quite at all but it works and its a great workout too.

I Can't Believe It

So let me first start by whining again about not getting any sleep thanks to my sweet baby girl who is still sick and still no word from the doctors.

Anyways, one of the many times I was up last night I heard something in my daughters room so I went and investigated only to find our dog Rosie who is a dachshund had ate my daughters whole chocolate bunny. I am talking about a chocolate bunny that is at least  7'' tall GONE. So, I grabbed the wrapper and put it in the garbage. Tried to go back to sleep and then heard the dog puking or trying to I thought in the girls bedroom so I put her outside and waited for her to come back in, then back to bed only to find myself stepping in........yep you know what. I was not a happy camper.

So anyways after getting the 2 older girls on the bus this morning I went in their room to clean it only to find 3 different puddles of chocolate puke. So that started my day off great. Continued to clean their room and then ended up shampooing 3 rooms of carpet on top of taking care of my baby girl.

WHAT A DAY!

Baby Girl Sick

I am going CRAZY my baby GIRL who is 6 months old has been sick now for almost 2 weeks now. I am so sleep deprived I don't know what to do with myself. 

I am drinking a pot of coffee a day and still am so tired. 

I have went to the doctor 2 times now and still they tell me nothing I am waiting for a test result to come back from the hospital and I know this sounds bad but I hope they find something so they can at least tell me what is wrong with her. It's just not normal for her to be doing what she is doing every hour in her diaper.

Super Deals

So, today I had to go to Wal-Mart and buy some more diapers and wipes for my little Miss Jaedyn since we are going through them like they are going out of style, anyways while I was there I checked all the clearance sections.

While in the girls section I found snow pants plain black for $1.00 I repeat $1.00 so I bought 4 pairs for next year. They aren't anything fancy but I am sure they will get the job done.

Next I went to the shoe section and of course more great deals. I found a pair of shoes that Wes can wear to work for $5.00 and then I found tennis shoes for the girls Starter Brand for $3.00. I just could not believe it they are so darn cute too.

Life continued...

Wow, what a hectic weekend. We really only had 1 full day with everyone so it seemed very rushed.

Saturday-had to go to town buy Easter stuff, birthday present and last minute birthday pizzas, go to a birthday party, visit a friend, visit the in-laws and have dinner and then dye easter eggs which didn't get finished until almost 10 pm, and somehow my daughter who is 5 managed to dye both of her hands the only good thing was it matched her Easter Dress. Wait for all the kids to go to bed so the easter bunny could come hopping through the house.

Sunday-get up at 5 am to get ready for Easter Sunrise service at the church and then breakfast, back to the in-laws to visit some more before we head home, then back to my mom and dads house for the easter egg hunt and BBQ, Luckily I convinced my friend to bring her family over because I just didn't have time to visit with her. We wanted to leave at 2 to head home but didn't get out of there until 3 with all the emotional goodbyes finally made it home at 11pm and fell asleep very quickly.

So today spent most of the day trying to catch up on some rest.

Life

So I have not been able to get on here at all these last couple of days, my baby girl who is almost 6 months old came down with a horrible stomach bug.

She has been filling her diaper every hour it seems like and just constantly crying and not wanting to be put down. I finally took her to the doctor today and pretty much just threw $30 down the drain. The doctor was in the room 5 minutes and told me pretty much what I already knew but being the worry wart that I am I had to make sure it wasn't anything serious.

Tomorrow we leave for Oregon to visit family for Easter. Should be loads of fun and filled with all that good family drama that goes along with it. Should also be a very fun car ride with a crying baby who needs her diaper changed every hour.
