Similac Formula Recall

I don't personally use this brand but I know of a lot of people that do so I thought I had better mention this on my blog after I seen it on Jessica's Coupons, thanks for posting this Jessica.

Below information taken off of the worldcorrespondents.com website

Abbott Laboratories issued a voluntary recall of their Similac infant formula after investigations reveal that it was contaminated with insect parts which could be harmful to those infants who will consume it.

Abbott Laboratories mentioned that affected Similac containers could contain small parts of the insect beetle or its larvae which could cause gastrointestinal problems to infants resulting to refusal to eat as a result of small insect parts irritating the GI tract.

The recall of these powder infant formulas includes:
Select Similac powder product lines offered in plastic containers.
Select Similac powder product lines offered in 8-ounce, 12.4-ounce and 12.9-ounce cans. Accordingly, the lot numbers of Similac infant formula included in the recall were lot numbers 87932T20, 88117T26, 78208T2, 88136T20, 91433t20 and 90372T20. You can find the lot number on the bottom of your can or cantainer.

To immediately find out if the product in your possession is included in this recall, parents and caregivers should visit www.similac.com/recall/lookup and type in their lot number to determine if their product is affected, or call (800) 986-8850.

So please find out if yours container is contaminated.
