Preschool Time

This week we have started up with preschool again. I love being able to teach my little's. 

This week's theme is "X" Marks the Spot

Tuesday

We started the day off with doing a treasure hunt. Finding all the X's which had a school supply and the big treasure was a bible. We are going to be learning about the bible this year along with all the other letters, numbers etc...

After finding all the treasures we sang the B-i-b-l-e song and the ABC song.

Counted as far as we could. Lil J counts to 17 and Lil W counts to 4

Learned about the letter X and the sound it makes.

Talked about what kinds of clothes we should wear for all the different seasons.

Listened to Saxophone music 

Read a poem

Extra Special X

Excellent, exciting letter X!
So extra special is letter X.
Fox, box, mix, wax,
Phlox, ox, six, tax.
Always an adventure to explore,
With letter X, which we adore!

Had a X snack.

And last they each did a lesson on ABC Mouse. 

Wednesday

Sing the B-i-b-l-e song and ABC song

Count as far as we can.

Practice making the the shape of an X along with the sound an X makes.

Go on a hunt for anything that looks like an X 

Read Fox in Socks by Dr. Seuss

Sing the song Six little Ducks

Learn about a FOX

Had another X snack

Teach them how to make their beds

Lesson on ABC mouse

Thursday

Sing the B-i-b-l-e Song and ABC song

Watch a veggie tales movie

Sing A Hunting we will Go

Practice making the shape of an X along with the sound of an X.

Play Tic tac toe

Play Freeze game with saxophone music.

Have the kids practice writing X all over a piece of paper and then help count how many they wrote.

Practice sharing toys.

Lesson on ABC Mouse

Friday

Hide some treasures and do another treasure hunt.

Play Tic Tac Toe

Play in the sensory bin.

Practice writing X's 

Play with play dough

Pretend to be Jack in the box and jump out of a box

Drive into town to look at the boxcars at the train yard.

Donate toys
