Funny Little Story

Ok let me start by saying that my oldest will probably kill me if she knows I am telling you this story, but it's just so funny I can't help myself.

So yesterday at school the 4th grade girls were taken into the nurses room to watch a movie about Growing Up, now I already knew what the movie was about because I called the school to make sure it was something I didn't mind her watching and was something I thought was age appropriate for my daughter.

She comes home yesterday and I ask her what the movie was about that she had to watch today and she looks at me and says, "MOM I can't talk about that in front of other people," so I said ok lets go to my room. So we get in my room and seriously it takes her about 10 minutes to finally tell me because she is just so embarrassed about the whole thing and this is what she says, "It was about........a punctuation mark...." It took me a minute and I was like it was about your period and she says, "yes the punctuation mark" she is just so embarrassed she doesn't even want to say the word lol. I think I must have laughed to myself for about 10 minutes.

My Thoughts:

So I have been reading this to my kids every night before bed and they loved it. The pictures in this book are amazing, the stories are amazing and every other page or so there is either an activity to do with the kids or a verse for them to remember or even a prayer. I loved reading this book as well this is by far the best beginning reader's bible I have ever seen and we have a few. I guess what makes this one so much better is that it has those different things on every other page to do or learn. I would recommend this book to everyone with children.

MY THOUGHTS:

I'm really not quite sure how to explain this book. I don't know a lot about religious stuff so I thought this book would help me understand some things and I think it has but then again I also found some of it very confusing for me anyways. I guess if you understand then this book is a great choice, if you are new to this whole thing then I don't suggest this book.

Back to Blogging

This past month has been so busy it seems like. We have had 3 different weekends filled with company that came to visit us from Oregon and in between the company which has been about 3 days I have been cleaning the house back up, doing laundry and getting the beds ready for the next round of company. Now don't get me wrong I LOVE company I would do it all every week if needed but on top of taking care of a 1 year old and being almost 7 months pregnant it takes a lot out of me.

So now that we aren't expecting anymore company until May when everyone will be coming up to meet our new bundle of joy Wyatt I feel like I can start posting stuff on my blog again without feeling like I am neglecting something that needs to be done in my house.

So just a few things that have been going on while I was away from my readers for almost a whole month:

• Two of my daughters have done a gymnastics meet which was really fun to watch

• We have finished up basketball season with my two oldest daughters

• We have enjoyed lots of snow (I would take the snow over the rain any day)

• My 16 month old has started potty training, we have had 1 day of success and she refuses to wear pull-ups for some reason

• I have started organizing everything for  when baby Wyatt arrives (now I need to get rid of totes and totes of baby girl stuff)

• I have been taking the girls to watch random movies every weekend (we got 8 tickets for $5 to go and watch movies at the theater which is a steal of a deal even though they are older movies most of them we haven't seen) 

• Oh ya the last thing I turned the BIG 30 on the 19th, I thought I would be depressed about it but I'm really not :)
